Spinner's Rock (French name: La Roche de La République) is an uninhabited island located between Saint Marie and the French island Saint-Robert. The Battle of Spinner's Rock between Britain and France took place on 10th June 1813. Captain Spinner won it for Britain.
The Governor of Saint Marie, Caroline Bamber, claims it to be British and the President of the General Council of Saint-Robert, Francois Tromeur, claims it to be French. In 5:2 One for the Road, Spinner's Rock seems to play an important role to the murder of Caroline Bamber because emeralds were found on the island.
