A Deadly Party is the eighth episode of Series 2 of Death in Paradise.
When a philanthropist is murdered in broad daylight at a charity fundraiser, DI Poole and his colleagues find themselves up against a daring and elusive opponent. Can the team catch the killer before the trail goes cold, or will this be the case that defeats Richard and sends him back to the UK?

Synopsis[]
When a shot is fired at a charity fundraiser, host Malcolm Powell is found dead. Malcolm's PA, Vicky Woodward, identifies the killer as mystery man named Jack Roberts who had an appointment with Malcolm and was seen fleeing the scene in a car. A background check on Powell reveals that he and his wife, Jen Powell, defrauded investors, using a Ponzi scheme, out of millions of pounds back in England. After solving the crime, Detective Inspector Richard Poole must take the killer back to London and Detective Sergeant Camille Bordey fears that he will not return when the 4-degrees temperature and rain lure him away from paradise.
