Biography[]
Emer Byrne failed her university degree, but could not admit it to her parents. Instead, she got a job as a junior geologist at the Saint Marie Volcano Observatory by posing as her friend, Megan Colley, and sending her degree.
Because of Emer's deception, it was easy for Victoria Baker to enlist her in the plan to kill Stephen Langham. During the investigation into the death, she came clean to the local police about her identity because she knew that they would find out as there was no record of Megan Colley arriving on Saint Marie because she had traveled under her real passport.
